Tired of spending a small fortune on toys for your pride and joy, only for them to be discarded to the bottom of the toybox?
For the purpose of these terms and conditions, 'rentee' is defined as the person renting the items from rent-a-toy.
All items must either be prepaid monthly via debit order or paid for COD prior to the physical handover of the toys to the rentee.
The items rented are soley for private and personal use and may not be used in a commercial manner under any circumstance.
It is the rentee's responsibility to examine the item to their satisfaction prior to signing off the delivery note produced on delivery.
Any loss or damage to the said items, excluding reasonable wear and tear, is at the responsibility of the rentee. Should theft of an item take place, rent-a-toy will require a case number from your local Police Station to be submitted by the rentee to rent-a-toy.
In no event will rent-a-toy or their members be held responsible for any damage, loss or injury caused by or arising out of the use of any item supplied to the rentee.
Full right, title and ownership of the item will at all times remain vested with rent-a-toy.
A refundable deposit of R300 will be paid by the rentee to rent-a-toy. The said deposit is refundable within 14 working days of the end of here said contract with the following exclusions and deductions, if any:
The item rented is returned damaged beyond what is expected with normal use. If rent-a-toy determines that the item is not returned in a suitable condition, the rentee will be liable for either a cleaning/repair cost, or the full retail value of the item. An invoice for the amount payable will be forwarded to the rentee;
The item rented is not made available for collection at the time and day stipulated and agreed to apon by the rentee and rent-a-toy. A late return fee will be payable by the rentee to the rent-a-toy;
Any debit order paid is returned unpaid.
These Terms and Conditions are applicable for all items rented by the rentee at any time, be it presently or on some future date, until otherwise amended by rent-a-toy.
In the event of rent-a-toy being forced to institute any action against you in terms of these Terms and Conditions, rent-a-toy shall be entitled to recover any legal costs so incurred on the scale of attorney and client as well as tracing fees and collection commission.
